Matthew D. Lassiter · Enablement Consultant · Berlin & remote
I build learning programs for scaling sales and customer success teams, train your people, and connect it all to your CRM so you can see exactly what's working.
Proof
Sales Manager for North America, then Senior Operations Enablement Manager (2023–2025). I owned how customer-facing people learned the product, the process and the tools.
~2 wks
time to system proficiency for new hires, down from about 2 months
15
training modules built in Leapsome, for onboarding and continuous training
~50
customer-facing users on the HubSpot CRM I helped build and roll out
~20
new Sales and Customer Success hires trained and onboarded
How I kept it current
I met key account holders every week and used AI-assisted analysis of our data to spot where people were struggling, then updated training almost weekly. Customer Success hires ramped faster, and sales grew over the same period.
Why it matters
When a startup starts hiring sellers and CSMs in batches, knowledge stops spreading by osmosis. Without a system, each new hire learns a slightly different version of the pitch, the product and the CRM.
5.7 months
average SaaS rep ramp time, up 32% since 2020. The full cost of ramping a rep can reach about 3x base salary.
49% vs 42.5%
win rate on forecast deals for companies with sales enablement, versus those without (CSO Insights).
73.6% vs 57.7%
quota attainment for teams with a formal enablement charter, versus the study average.
+38% adoption
for products targeted by formal customer education, with 15.5% lower support costs (Forrester for Intellum).
Every hire you onboard without a program becomes the person who trains the next one. Fixing habits, messy CRM data and inconsistent pitches after 30 hires costs far more than building it right at 10.
A full-time enablement lead is a big commitment for a growing team. A short engagement builds the foundation, hands it to your managers, and leaves you with a system you own.
What I offer
For sales teams
A structured ramp plan, pitch and discovery training, and CRM habits from day one, so new reps sell your way faster.
For go-to-market teams
When product ships something new, sales and CS learn what it does, who it's for and how to position it, before customers ask.
For your customers
Onboarding guides and short modules that help customers actually use your product, which lifts adoption and cuts support tickets.
How it works
A typical engagement runs about 6–8 weeks. After that you run it yourselves, and I come back only when you need a review or an upgrade.

Outside SaaS I run kinn, a culinary events brand in Berlin, so keeping real customers happy in person is part of my day too. I work in English (native) and conversational German.
Let's spend 20 minutes on where onboarding slows your team down. You'll leave with at least one fix, whether we work together or not.
